| The multi colored crater lakes of Kelimutu Flores Island Indonesia |
Kelimutu Lakes is located in the center of Flores, Indonesia
roughly 40 miles from the town of Ende and 52 miles from Maumere. Lake Kelimutu
was discovered by a Dutch named Van Such Telen in 1915. It gained global fame since 1929,
when Y. Bauman wrote in his notes about these extraordinary color-changing
lakes.
